Educational Content DataWe collect information about which courses, assignments, labs, workspaces, and quizzes you’ve started and completed, as well as content purchases and credits, subscriptions, completion certificates, and your interactions with instructors, teaching assistants, and other students. We also collect essays, answers to questions, and other items submitted to satisfy course and related content requirements. We store your instructional content, which may contain data about you, if you are an instructor.
Student Payment DataIf you make purchases, we collect information about your purchase (such as your name, billing address, and ZIP code) that is required to process your order and may be kept for future buys if you choose. Certain payment and billing information, such as your name, credit card information, billing address, and ZIP code, must be provided directly to our payment service providers. To facilitate payments, we may additionally get limited information from payment service providers, such as the fact that you have a new card and the last four numbers of that card. GMAX Learn does not collect or keep sensitive cardholder information like full credit card numbers or card authentication data for security reasons.
Instructor Payment DataIf you’re an instructor, you can receive money by linking your Nigerian bank account, PayPal account for overseas instructors, or another payment account to the Services. We collect and utilize certain information when you link a payment account, such as your payment account email address, account ID, physical address, or other data required for us to deliver payments to your account. We may gather NUBAN information in order to send payments to your account. We also engage with reputable third parties who collect tax information as required by law in order to comply with applicable legislation. This tax information could contain residency information, tax identification numbers, biographical information, and other personal data required for taxation. GMAX Learn does not collect or keep personal information for security reasons.
Data About Your Accounts on Other ServicesIf your social media or other online accounts are linked to your GMAX Learn account, we may be able to receive certain information from them. If you access GMAX Learn through Facebook or another third-party platform or service, we will ask for your permission to access information from that account. We may collect your name, profile image, account ID number, login email address, location, physical location of your access devices, gender, birthday, and list of friends or contacts, for example, depending on the platform or service.
Through their APIs, those platforms and services make information available to us. We receive information based on what you (via your privacy settings) or the platform or service decide to give us.
If you access or use our Services through a third-party platform or service, or if you click on any third-party links, your data will be collected, used, and shared in accordance with that third-privacy party’s policies and other agreements.

    • Please note that even after your account is closed, some or all of your data may remain visible to others, including data that has been (a) copied, stored, or disseminated by other users (including comments on content); (b) shared or disseminated by you or others (including in your shared content); or (c) posted to a third-party platform. Even if your account is closed, we keep your data for as long as we have a reasonable reason to do so (and as long as relevant law allows us to), such as to comply with legal requirements, settle disputes, or enforce our agreements. After your account has been cancelled, we may store and disclose such data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
  • Please use our online form to seek access to, modify, or delete your personal data. We may ask that the request be received through the email address connected with your account for your protection, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
